According to the principle of reflectometry (remission photometry), it measures the quantity of light reflected by the selected strip. All necessary information required to run the instrument is communicated via the barcode strip, which contains information for wavelength correction and the specific calibration curve. The strip with the reagent is immersed in the prepared sample (after dilution, or reagent addition, etc.) Then, the strip has to be inserted in the reading head. The result is displayed on the LCD screen. Strips are not included.
