Acidimetric solution for volatile acidity

Shelf life of 6 months and 2-3 months after opening.

The acidimetric solution for volatile acidity is a sodium hydroxide solution whose concentration is defined so that: for a distillate obtained by direct heating (initial sample of 20ml), each milliliter descending in the burette corresponds to 0.0625 grams per liter of volatile acidity, expressed in sulphuric acid. For a distillate obtained by steam distillation (initial sample of 10ml), each milliliter descending from the burette corresponds to 0.1 grams per liter of volatile acidity, expressed in sulphuric acid.
